about the artist
Baley Bodden is a Nashville native and creative entrepreneur. While making a name for herself and growing in success in other businesses in the greater Nashville area, Baley holds a unique passion for human connection and creative expression.
Having spent a vast majority of her adult life diving into the ‘whats and whys’ that make each of us who we are, Baley took her childhood outlet of painting to a new level in 2020 with ‘Art by Billy,’ a nod to ‘Billy’, Baley’s inner child.
Channeling Billy’s unbridled curiosity of love and the human connection, the brush strokes of Art by Billy pieces each express tones of playfulness and vibrancy as they communicate the undeniable passion that is found in true human connection through modern pop art images.
Deeply inspired by and grounded in faith, each Art by Billy canvas boasting of solely black and white mediums tell of the security, assurance and purity that is found in a relationship with Christ. Contrarily, she illuminates the not-so-black-and-white elements of intimate human connection with that of bursting color, bringing life to the messiness and beauty that is produced through relationships with others and lovers.
